SeeClap is published by See Apps Studio LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how we process your data when you use SeeClap on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, Android and Android TV. If you choose to use SeeClap, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Earlier versions of this document named the publisher as CodingByJerez; the substance of the policy is unchanged.

1. What SeeClap is

SeeClap is a utility application that lets you organize your own playlists and play your own content. We provide no content for the application and are not affiliated with any IPTV provider. You are solely responsible for the content you provide and play with SeeClap.

2. Information we collect and use

  • Data stored on our servers. SeeClap stores your preferences, settings and progress — playlists, favorites, playback positions, hidden categories and similar items — on our own servers, so that they stay in sync across your devices.
  • Sensitive information. The credentials of your playlists are encrypted end to end. The decryption keys exist only on your devices, which means that we cannot decrypt this information.
  • Analytics. We collect anonymous data about how the application is used (Google Analytics for Firebase) in order to improve its performance and features. This data is not linked to your identity.
  • Crash and log data. When an error occurs, diagnostic information may be collected (Firebase Crashlytics): device model, operating system version, application configuration, date and time of use, IP address and similar statistics.
  • Purchases. Premium purchases are processed by Apple or Google. We receive purchase receipts in order to validate them; we never see your payment details.
  • Third-party services. The application uses services that may collect information used to identify you. Their privacy policies: Google Play Services, Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics. Metadata such as posters, synopses and cast comes from TMDb, and optional subtitles from OpenSubtitles; those requests are made from your device.
  • Cookies. The application may use third-party libraries that rely on cookies or similar identifiers to provide their services.

3. Sharing

We do not sell, rent or share your information with third parties for commercial purposes. The information collected is used solely to operate and improve the application. Companies acting on our behalf (hosting, analytics, crash reporting) may access personal information only to perform tasks for us and are bound not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

4. Security

We value the trust you place in us. Data in transit is protected with TLS and playlist credentials are encrypted end to end; we use commercially reasonable means to protect your information, but no method of transmission over the Internet or of electronic storage is 100% secure.

5. Your rights and deletion

You can delete playlists, favorites and history from within the application. To request access to, or deletion of, the data associated with your installation, write to contact@seeclap.com. Depending on where you live (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and similar laws), you may have rights of access, rectification, deletion, portability and objection; we answer within 30 days.

6. Children

SeeClap is not directed to children under 13 and includes a PIN-protected parental control. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page and, when significant, within the application. This policy was first published on 7 September 2023.
