SeeList is a shopping-list application for iPhone and Android published by See Apps Studio LLC (“See Apps Studio”, “we”, “us” or “our”). This policy explains what data the App handles, where it goes, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Summary
- SeeList has no user account and no SeeList server. We do not receive a copy of your lists, custom products or recipes.
- Your shopping content and preferences are stored in a local database on your device.
- SeeList uses Google Analytics for Firebase for anonymous audience measurement and Firebase Crashlytics for crash reports. Neither ever receives the contents of your lists, and measurement stays off until a consent choice allows it where one is required.
- Typed assistant requests are processed by a compatible on-device model. System voice services are governed by your device settings and Apple or Google’s policies.
- An optional backup goes to your own iCloud or Google Drive account, not to a SeeList server.
- SeeList shows Google AdMob ads. Google may process technical device and ad-interaction data, but ads are never targeted from the contents of your lists.
Data stored on your device
Lists and their items, personal products, favorites, synonyms and categories, recipes, learned suggestions, and App settings are stored in a local database. We do not receive this content. Uninstalling the App deletes its local database, subject to the operating system’s normal deletion and backup behavior.
The assistant and voice features
- Assistant. Text submitted to the assistant is processed by a compatible platform model — Apple Intelligence on iOS or Gemini Nano on Android — without being sent to a SeeList server. We do not see the request or result. On an unsupported device, the assistant is unavailable.
- Dictation. The microphone is active only while you choose to dictate. Your operating system’s speech-recognition service may process audio or a transcript according to your device settings and Apple or Google’s privacy terms. SeeList does not retain the audio or send it to our server.
- Siri, Shortcuts and Google Assistant App Actions. The requested list change is handled by the App, while the platform may process the voice command and related metadata under its own terms.
Optional cloud backup
You can choose to back up and restore App data through your own cloud account: a private iCloud container on iOS, or SeeList’s hidden application-data folder in Google Drive on Android (drive.appdata, which limits access to the App’s own folder). When you connect Google Drive, the Google account email address is stored locally so the App can show which account contains the backup.
Backup data is transferred directly through the platform provider; we do not operate the storage server and cannot access the backup. Apple or Google processes account, connection and backup data under its own privacy policy. You can disable backup and delete the cloud copy from the App or the applicable cloud-account settings.
Audience measurement and crash reports
Two Google services report on the App itself, never on what you put in it.
- Google Analytics for Firebase tells us how many people use SeeList and how often. The App emits no custom events: only Firebase’s automatic events (
first_open,session_start,user_engagement) and a screen view whose single parameter is a fixed screen name such as “ListDetail”. Google receives standard technical data — an app-instance identifier, the device model, the operating-system and App versions, and an approximate region derived from the IP address. Measurement is switched off when the App starts and begins only once the consent form has been answered; in the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland it stays off unless you allow information to be stored on and read from your device. It never feeds advertising: the advertising consent signals are refused permanently. You can change this at any time through the privacy options in the App’s settings. - Firebase Crashlytics sends a report when the App stops unexpectedly: the stack trace, the device model, the operating-system and App versions, and an installation identifier. A crash report carries none of the content you enter — no lists, items, recipes or personal products.

Advertising
SeeList is funded by ads served through Google AdMob. Depending on your platform, region, consent choices and Google’s SDK configuration, AdMob may automatically collect or receive:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate general location;
- device, app-instance and advertising identifiers;
- ad views, taps and other app or advertising interactions;
- diagnostic and performance information, such as crash logs and launch or latency data; and
- advertising data used to deliver, measure and protect ads.
Google processes this information for advertising, measurement, analytics, security and fraud prevention. Transmission is encrypted in transit. Ads are never selected from the content of your lists, products or recipes, and we do not send that content to Google.
Where required, choices are collected through Google’s User Messaging Platform before personalized advertising is requested. On iOS, cross-app tracking also requires the App Tracking Transparency permission. Refusing personalized ads does not necessarily prevent limited technical data from being used for non-personalized ads, frequency capping, aggregated reporting, security or fraud prevention. Permissions
- Microphone and speech recognition — requested only when you choose voice input.
- Photo library — requested only when you choose to import an image.
- Tracking (iOS) — requested for personalized advertising or cross-app measurement; you may refuse it.
- Internet — used to load ads, manage consent and synchronize an optional cloud backup.
You can deny or later revoke a permission in the device settings. The related optional feature may then be unavailable, while the core shopping-list functions continue to work.
Third-party services
The App may use Google AdMob, Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics, Google Play Services and Google Drive on Android, and Apple iCloud and platform services on iOS. On-device intelligence and voice features are also governed by the relevant platform provider’s terms.
These providers may process data in countries other than yours and apply the legal safeguards described in their policies. Where a provider processes data on our behalf, we require protections consistent with this policy and applicable platform and privacy rules. We do not sell your shopping-list content.
Retention and deletion
- Local data remains until you delete it in the App or uninstall the App.
- Deleted lists remain locally recoverable for up to 24 hours before permanent removal.
- Cloud backups remain in your own cloud account until replaced or deleted by you, subject to Apple or Google’s retention practices.
- Google advertising data is retained by Google under its policies and your advertising settings; See Apps Studio does not hold a separate copy.
- Measurement and crash data is retained by Google under the Firebase retention settings; See Apps Studio does not hold a separate copy.
Delete lists, items, recipes or personal products directly in the App. Delete a cloud backup from the App or your iCloud / Google Drive settings. Change advertising choices in the App where that control is available, and manage platform permissions or advertising identifiers in device settings. Because there is no SeeList account or content server, there is no server-side shopping profile for us to delete.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of personal data, withdraw consent, or lodge a complaint with a privacy authority. Most SeeList content is controlled directly on your device. For a request relating to See Apps Studio, contact support@seeapps.studio. We may need enough information to understand and lawfully answer the request. Requests about data held independently by Apple or Google should be directed to that provider.
Children
SeeList is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13 or the higher minimum age required in their country. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal data. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, contact us so we can address it.
Changes
We may update this policy when the App, law or platform requirements change. The revised policy will be posted here with a new effective date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide any additional notice required by law.
